LOREATEC CO LTD ("we", "us") complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (APPI) and related laws and guidelines, and handles the personal information obtained through the inquiry, quotation/request and job-application forms on this website (loreatec.jp, the "Site") and in the course of our business as set out below.

We do not collect sensitive personal information (race, creed, medical history, etc.) unless required by law or with your consent.
Except where permitted by law (for example, where required by law, or where necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain consent), we do not provide personal data to third parties without your prior consent.
We may entrust the handling of personal data to external providers to the extent necessary for the purposes of use (server hosting, email delivery, payment processing, partner companies performing on-site work, etc.). We bind such providers contractually to confidentiality and security obligations and supervise them appropriately.
Concept packs and Entry Packs (updated 24 October 2026). When you use the photo-to-concept tool on our AI services page, the photos are reduced in your browser, their location data (EXIF/GPS) is removed on our server, and they are relayed one by one to an external AI provider for analysis (see section 5); the result is returned to your browser and nothing — neither photos nor results — is stored on our servers or sent by email. Before uploading you confirm that the photos show no identifiable people and no personal information. When you request a Japan Entry Pack on bizsearch.loreatec.jp, your email address is stored only to send the confirmation and the pack and is deleted with the pack.
We do not provide personal data obtained through the Site's forms to third parties outside Japan.
Photo-to-concept tool. The photos you upload to this tool are analysed by an external AI provider. The tool's page names the provider in use and its country next to a consent box, and no photo is sent until you tick it; by ticking it you agree to that transfer. Please use photos without identifiable people, documents, screens showing personal data or anything confidential. The providers we may use, and how each handles the photos:

The United States has no comprehensive federal law equivalent to Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information: personal information is protected by sector-specific federal laws and by state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission publishes a summary of the US system: PPC — survey of personal information protection systems in foreign countries (United States).
The Site measures its own traffic with a counter we run on our own server in Japan. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address: it records the page, the referring site, the type of device and browser and the country, and counts visitors with a code that changes every day, so a visit cannot be linked to you or followed from one day to the next. You can switch it off for your browser by opening any page with ?lt_optout=1 added to the address (this sets one cookie that only records that choice). Some English pages include a live-chat window provided by Tidio, which sets its own cookies when it loads.
You (or your representative) may request notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion, suspension of use or erasure, and suspension of third-party provision of the retained personal data we hold about you. Please contact us at the address in section 1; after verifying your identity we will respond without delay in accordance with the law. No fee is charged. The name of our representative and the other matters listed in Article 32(1) of the APPI are provided on request without delay.
Complaints and enquiries about our handling of personal information are received at the contact in section 1.
We may revise this Policy in response to changes in the law or our services. Revisions take effect when posted on the Site; significant changes will be announced on the Site.
