Dell Streak comes with a strong Gorilla glass to protect the screen but even gorilla glass breaks if your dell streak falls or if you put a heavy weight on it.
We got by post this Dell Streak with the broken glass as you see on the right and replaced it with a new glass and screen. Now this Dell Streak Mini 5 is working fine and as always the data was not lost.

The protection glass on this Dell Streak is cracked. The glass can not be separated from the digitizer and LCD screen so in this case we have replace the whole set.
