Do you believe in SEO?

Before I was very skeptical of anything with the word SEO on it.

One reason is that I have seen many SEO company advertisements offering unreal results for their job and even lying completely about their job. It is easy to fall in one of those scams if you do not know much about how Internet works.

The second reason is that the algorithm used by search engines is a tightly guarded secret so no one can claim to know how it really works, except by experience and checking how different techniques affect your result on the search engine. That is reallly a slow way of learning how it works.

Third reason are those black hat SEO techniques that may boost your site for a short while (or not at all) but will get you banned from google and your website will not appear on searches anymore.

However yesterday I changed my mind. I had a very interesting talk with my friend Masaki that completely changed the my views of the SEO world.

I believe now that there are so many things that you can do to improve your website standings on search engines and increase your visits as a result.

Masaki surprised me with his experience and how he could point out many little details that can make a huge difference on your website rankings. From now on I will not frown upon the word SEO. It is necessary for your online business success to have someone who understands and improves your website visibility for search engines.
