HTC Desire X06HT and X06HT II difference

Softbank sold 2 different versions of the HTC Desire. One is named X06HT and the other one X06HT II.

They are basically the same, there are only two differences. The version of Android and the screen. The X06HT comes with Android 2.1 while X06HT has been upgraded to Android 2.2.

The X06HT features a AMOLED display made by Samsung. The newer X06HT uses a S-LCD display made by a venture of Sony and Samsung. There are several practical differences between the two displays. The new display has higher resolution which helps to read small text and more accuarate color reproduction. The power consumption varies depending on the use for both screens. If you have a dark background AMOLED is more efficient, but S-LCD efficiency outperforms the AMOLED when watching bright colors such as those on games and websites.

Motorola Xoom Repair

Today we received by Yu Pack this Motorola Xoom for repair. The tablet failed and got bricked during a firmware update. ?After the failed update, the tablet was on a boot loop and sometimes it got stuck on the Motorola logo screen.

Fortunately we could fix it and re-install the firmware. Now the tablet can be used again.

iPhone 4 broken glass repair

Today we repaired this broken iPhone 4. The screen and the touch panel are working but the front glass is broken so it is difficult to use the phone and it looks very bad.

We replaced the front panel with a new panel and now you can see on the picture that the iPhone is like new. Those bubbles on the repaired iPhone are from the protection plastic that come with the new phone.

Dell Vostro 1520 boot problem Repair

This Dell Vostro 1520 was brought to our office because it does not boot. After the DELL logo there is an error message “”Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt?\windows\system32\config\system”

The data on this is important so first we recovered all the important files to a DVD and then we fixed Windows. Our customer can now boot the PC again and all the important files have been saved to a DVD.
